Pay out loans, dividends and shares to every member

A group keeps its money in the bank, but its members live on mobile money. Move the amount you are paying out into your Malipopay wallet once, then pay each member to their own phone.

Who you can pay

  • Loan disbursements
  • Dividends and interest
  • End-of-cycle share-outs
  • Welfare and emergency support

How it works

The same four steps whether you pay ten people or five hundred.

Step 1

Deposit from your bank

Pay the total into your permanent deposit number from CRDB or NMB. Free on the Malipopay side.

Step 2

Upload your list

Fill the payout template in Excel and upload it. Every row is checked with a name lookup.

Step 3

Approve with a code

See the total, the fees and the balance left, then approve with a one-time code.

Step 4

Everyone is paid

Money goes to each mobile money number or bank account, and every row gets its own status.

Why it works for saccos, vslas and groups

Money goes to the member, not through a treasurer’s phone

Every member is paid directly, and every payment has its own record, so nobody carries cash for the group.

Agreed before it is paid

The list is verified, then approved with a one-time code sent to the person approving, so the list that is signed off is the list that gets paid.

Records for the next meeting

Each payment has a status and reference you can show the members at the next meeting.
